ACVM have reviewed the responses to their first round of consultation on this update. As a result of feedback received ACVM have subsequently updated the draft guidance documents.
Updated: 14 September 2021 EPA are calling for information on the use of glyphosate. More information is available on the EPA website. A draft submission from ARPPA was been developed and members are asked to review and comment on the draft submission.
The Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR) maintains the Codex Classification of Foods and Animal Feeds. CCPR has been updating this document over the last few years and has reclassified a number of crops under different groupings due to new information or knowledge and/or to provide better alignment. ACVM have become aware that an informal policy relating to the application of “Do Not Use” statements to labels is being applied inconsistently. As a result ACVM are consulting on some alternative options .
ACVM has been approached on its position of using QR codes (or similar technologies enabling electronic links to information) on labels.
